At Conversations Consulting we encourage people and organizations to connect and to have dialogue in ways that are meaningful and constructive. Some parties with difficult or complex discussions ask for our assistance. These interventions may be as simple and informal as sitting down with two people over a cup of coffee to have a difficult conversation. Others may be complex and highly structured negotiations, mediations, planning exercises or other discussions. The latter may involve consultations with additional specialists in financial, legal or other fields, and may result in written plans, reports or agreements. These efforts have helped parties to focus their plans, by developing meaningful success criteria and appropriate risk tolerances. The discussions have assisted clients in keeping projects, programs and organizations on track, and in evaluating and improving their effectiveness. Clients discover ways to explore sometimes divergent or competing interests and to develop processes or agreements that use differences to increase innovation and cooperation.
